ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

<h1>The Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Silda Chandrasekhar College, established in the year 2012, The Department offers undergraduate program leading to Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). At present, the department is offering a 3-year Professional course in Bachelor of Computer Applications. The Departmental faculty members are well-qualified and are dedicated to the success of students.&nbsp; Faculty members are committed to develop analytical and critical thinking of skills, to enhance/strengthen the concept of Computer Applications among the students.</h1>
At present, the department intakes 36 students from various streams Like (Either passed HS Arts/Science with Mathematics Or, passed HS Arts/Science with Computer Sc Or passed vocational courses with Computer application/Mathematics Or, passed HS commerce with Business Mathematics). They are offered innovative yet globally accepted programs for their all round development. It encourages its students to be innovative so that they can start their own ventures. The department also conducts State Level and departmental seminars and workshop to provide forum for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and industry representatives in order to understand the advancement of management thoughts and practices.
The students are admitted to BCA department according to the university norms. Most of our students are from rural background without the knowledge of IT. The Department encourages the students to contribute seminar presentation on Current IT topics, developing IT Projects as guided by department in association with Ardent Computech Pvt. Ltd. Our students, who have already completed BCA, recruited in reputed IT Companies and some of them are pursuing MCA.

Infrastructural Facilities:

<li>The department is well equipped classroom with 2(Two) software lab and 1(One) Hardware lab.</li>
<li>The department has a central library and a departmental library. Students can easily access these books.</li>
<li>Department provides VU question papers. Students can follow these question papers for semester examinations.</li>
<li>Department has 45 computers with internet facilities.</li>
<li>Student can learn various software and project like C, C++, JAVA, Dot Net, PYTHON, Android, PHP, MYSQL etc.</li>
<li>Department arranges frequent class test to evaluate status of the students.</li>
<li>Teachers help the final semester students for JECA entrance and other various examination.</li>
<li>Department help final semester students to provided job through off-campus.</li>
<li>Many students are employed through off-campus. Some of the students get government jobs.&nbsp; Many students are very successful in their career in corporate society.&nbsp; Some students are highly successful in self employment.</li>
<li>Department provides a friendly and supportive environment for learning to the students.</li>
<li>Apart from studies the students of the department have distinguished themselves in sports and co-curricular activities from other department.</li>
