<h1><span style="font-size: small;">Santali is the Language of many older Indigenous Peoples. Those who are known as 42 tribals in India are one of them now. Santali was regarded as written Literature in 1845. Santals do many movements to protect their nation and language status. It may be said that due to the strengthening movement Leadership of Baba Tilka Majhi in 1785, Indigenous people were released from absorption for many years. Later after, The Leadership of Sidhu Kanhu Santal Hool rebellion against the British in 1855. Which has not been fully placed in the Indian History. After some years, Kavi Sadhu Ramchand Murmu was deceived the eminent literature of the time. Who encourages the nation of Indigenous Santals and inspired in education & culture. Then after, 69 years Pandit Raghunath Murmu invented the firstly Olchiki script in 1925. Then the Santali Language movement started for the acceptance of education demand in Santali Language. Thus after, 77 years it was added to the eight schedule of the Constitution on 22<sup>nd</sup> December, 2003. So now, our Children have got the chance to study in Santali subject in the Schools & Colleges. As Silda Chandrasekhar College is located in the indigenous Santal-dominant areas of Jangal Mahal, Jhargram, arranged Santali education in 2005. It is the place of Kavi Sadhu Ramchand Murmu’s birth place in Kamarbandhi area. The children of the Indigenous Santals can learn in the own mother tongue. Teachers are highly qualified and motivated and also committed to their students to fulfill their dream. They arrange various cultural and educational programme every year to motivate students like Freshers Welcome Ceremony/ Teachers Day, Santali Bhasa Divas, Departmental State level seminar., Cultural Programme, Educational Tour (BA Part-III(H) & 2<sup>nd</sup> year (General), Pandit Raghunath Murmu Birth Day Observation, Sadhu Ramchand Murmu Birth Day Observation etc. Students of this department passed every year with high rate of percentage. They pursue MA degree in various universities after the completion of graduation degree from this institution.</span></h1>
