Biography Mr. Gopinath Tudu is a State Aided College Teacher (SACT-I) in the department of Santali at Silda C.S. College, was born and brought up in a needy family in a remote village called Birgeria in the undivided district of Midnapore on 1st April in 1986. His father is Mr. Haripada Tudu, and his mother is Mrs. Barimoni Tudu. His wife is Mrs. Usha Tudu, and they have two sons, Angel Raj Tudu and Anol Raj Tudu. He completed his primary education at Kharikabad Primary School. He passed Madhyamik examination from Laldanga Nistarini Vidyamandir. He passed Higher Secondary from Binpur High school (H.S.). He completed his graduation from Silda C.S. College under Vidyasagar University. He earned both his M.A. and M.Phil. degrees in Santali from Vidyasagar University. He also completed a Sangeet Bivakar from Suradhani Sangeet College under Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, affilated to Rabindra Bharati University, and a certificate course in Santali Folk Music from Bankura University. He is also engaged as a teaching personnel in the department of Santali Dance and Music in Sadhu Ramchand Murmu University of Jhargram. He has been working as a Santali folk artist since his school life. At present, he is a member of the advisory council of the West Bengal State Music Academy. Additionally, he is pursuing a Ph.D. degree (Thesis entitled: A Case Study of Santali Folk Song, Music and Dance) in the department of Santali in Visva-Bharati, Santinikatan.
